The new ‘Sport Factory’ of the club Sportfreunde Rodgau is in the final stages of building. The 2,500-m² building contains a sports hall and a number of other rooms. Architects Mathes & Neumann (Rodgau) chose a sustainable wooden construction method with a Kielsteg roof. The Kielsteg elements of type KSE 485 cover the 15-m wide hall in a single span. Besides the ecological advantages, the wooden elements were chosen for their structural performance combined with their low-profile dimensioning.

The building, including prefabrication of the wall elements, is being done by wooden building firm OCHS from Kirchberg.
