Rosenberger factory for stamping technology

Germany

The new stamping and assembly facility at Rosenberger Hochfrequenztechnik demonstrates that it certainly is possible to unite functionality and good architecture in an industrial building. The roof was built with 2,300 m2 of Kielsteg elements. The elements are up to 19.7 m long, so that the building, which is 56 x 53 m, only needs two rows of supports. In this case the Kielsteg elements are used to support a sawtooth roof, which maximizes the natural light on the factory floor.

FLEXIBLE

The building has a floor area of 2,500 m2 and only needs two rows of internal supports.

LOW-PROFILE STRUCTURE

The Kielsteg elements are only 61 cm high despite their enormous load-bearing performance. This helped the designers keep the two-story building relatively low.

FIRE PROTECTION INNOVATION

The sprinkler system is attached directly to the wooden roof elements.
